How to travel from Schiphol Airport to Keukenhof?
In 2025 you can take direct KeukenhofBuzz bus line 858 from Amsterdam Schiphol airport to the Keukenhof gardens. It’s nonstop bus that brings you to the main entrance of Keukenhof. Bus line 858 is operated by Qbuzz transportation company.

Schiphol airport train station
Schiphol airport railway station is located directly below the airport. Take the escalator or lift from Schiphol Plaza hall downstairs and board the train. A direct train will take you to the center of Amsterdam (Amsterdam Centraal station, or Amsterdam CS) within 17 minutes. Usually trains from Schiphol to Amsterdam city center depart from platform 3.

You can take international trains from Schiphol to Paris, Brussels, Antwerp and many other European destinations from tha same train station. We recommend to book international tickets in advance.

Duty free shops in Schiphol open at least one hour before the departure of the first plane, and close when the last plane leaves the airport.

Smoking at Schiphol
From 1 April 2020 Schiphol airport is non-smoking. This also applies to e-cigarettes. Smoking is also prohibited in the parking garages at Schiphol.
There is only one smoking zone, before security. Schiphol visitors can still smoke in Jan Dellaertplein, the square outside Schiphol Plaza.
This also applies to transfer passengers. If you are waiting for a connecting flight and want to smoke, you’ll also need to go to Jan Dellaertplein. Please take into account that you will need to go through security again. In some cases, you may also need a visa to enter the Netherlands.
Baggage Storage at Schiphol
You can use Schiphol luggage storage facilities 24/7, both before security and after security.
Baggage Storage after security (in transfer area)
The lockers next to the gates are 40×40 cm and have a depth of 70 cm. Renting a locker costs € 8 per 24 houts. You can use the lockers for up to 7 days.
Baggage Storage before security
You can also leave your luggage at the Baggage Storage area, on level -1, between Arrivals 1 and Arrivals 2.

- Odd-size baggage – € 12 a piece
- Wardrobe – € 2,50 a piece
Items can be stored at the Baggage Storage area at Schiphol for a maximum of 30 days.

Good to know:
1. It’s way cheaper to book Schiphol parking online then to come without reservation.
2. The amount of parking spots at P3 Long Term Sheltered parking is limited. So if prefer sheltere parking, book a spot in advance.
