If you travel by Ryanair, WizzAir, Transavia or Airbaltic and arrive to Eindhoven airport, you can easily travel to Amsterdam by public transport.
How to travel from Eindhoven airport to Amsterdam by train?
First, you need to get from Eindhoven Airport to the city center of Eindhoven. To do this, take bus No. 400 or No. 401 at the airport.
- Travel time from the airport to Eindhoven Central Station: 19 minutes.
- Ticket price: €5.
At Eindhoven Central Station, take a train in the direction of Amsterdam Centraal. During the day, trains run approximately every 15 minutes. Sometimes it’s a direct train, and sometimes you need to change in Utrecht. Travel time is the same in both cases, but of course, a direct train is more convenient. Order tickets in advance to save time upon arrival.
- Travel time Eindhoven Centraal – Amsterdam Centraal: 1 hour 20 minutes.

You can buy a train ticket from Eindhoven to Amsterdam at the ticket machines at the station or online.

Tip! You can also use a combined ticket that includes the bus ride from the airport to the station + the train to Amsterdam. The price is €32.
Please note: these trains do not run at night. If you have an early flight, it’s a good idea to book a hotel in Eindhoven in advance (for example, the Tulip Inn hotel is located directly at the airport).
From Eindhoven to Amsterdam by transfer bus
As of 20 October 2020, the Air Express Bus services between Eindhoven airport and Amsterdam have been discontinued. However, you can still travel from the center of Eindhoven to Amsterdam Sloterdijk station by FlixBus. Ticket prices start from €9,99 one way.
The FlixBus departure point in Eindhoven will be indicated on your ticket. In most cases, it is: John F. Kennedylaan 2, 5612 AB Eindhoven, Netherlands, about 300 meters from Eindhoven Central Station.
In Amsterdam, Amsterdam Sloterdijk station is just one train stop away from Amsterdam Centraal. From Sloterdijk, there are also buses and metro lines connecting to different parts of the city. Check 9292.nl for the fastest and most convenient way to get to your hotel.
