Bus 391 departure point
The bus line 391 which departs from Amsterdam/CS IJzijde station. The bus station is located behind Amsterdam Centraal train station, one level up behind platforms 14 and 15.

During the day, bus 391 departs every 15 minutes. For timetable, visit the 9292.nl website. You can also check the timetable and route here. The bus ride from Amsterdam to the Zaanse Schans takes approximately 46 minutes.
- Tip! Buy a card for the day that admits you to nearly everything at the Zaanse Schans that is a paid entry.

Please note that GVB (Amsterdam city transport) tickets are not valid on bus 391. This bus is operated by EBS R-NET company.

Good to know: You can also take a comfortable coach bus from Amsterdam (departures from This is Holland) to Zaanse Schans. A return tickets costs €19,50.
Tours to Zaanse Schans
Tip: If you’d like to combine your visit to Zaanse Schans with other Dutch villages like Volendam or Giethoorn, we recommend:

- Volendam, Marken & Zaanse Schans day trip organized by a local tour guide Tours & Tickets. This 6-hour tour also includes a ferry boat ride across the IJsselmeer from Volendam to Marken. The tours are popular, especially in the high season. We recommend booking the tour online at least 2-3 days in advance.
Good to know: You can also travel to the Zaanse Schans by train. Take a Sprinter to Zaandijk Zaanse Schans station. A train journey from Amsterdam takes 17 minutes (tickets online). Zaanse Schans is a 10-minute walk from the station.
