The 2022 theme is Flower Classics.
This year, from 24 March 2022 onwards there will be a special Mauritshuis inspirational garden at Keukenhof which will feature a replica of Johannes Vermeer’s most famous painting, Girl with Pearl Earring.
Mauritshuis is one of the most famous Dutch museums. This year they are celebrating their 200th birthday. The exhibition In Full Bloom featuring the most beautiful flower paintings of the 17th century is open from 10 February 2022 till 6 June 2022. And it’s only 35 minutes drive from Keukenhof. Definitely worth a visit! Remember to book tickets in advance.
Keukenhof 2022 and COVID-19
Starting from 25 February 2022, A COVID entry pass no longer required at most of public spaces (except for the indoor locations with more than 500 visitors). So you don’t need to show a COVID pass to enter Keukenhof.
You don’t need to wear a face mask in Keukenhof. The requirement to wear a face mask on public transport will also be lifted as of Wednesday 23 March 2022. So you don’t need to wear a face mask in the bus, museums, restaurants, shops or hotels. Face masks must still be worn only on the aircrafts and at airports beyond the security checkpoint.
However, due to the COVID-19 virus situation, strict regulations of the government will apply in Keukenhof 2022. A maximum number of visitors will be allowed per day and the Keukenhof tickets will have fixed time slots per day. The bus tickets also have a fixed departure time.
You do need to book all tickets (entrance tickets, combi tickets, tickets + transfer and tours) in advance.

Keukenhof combi-tickets (entrance + return bus ticket) in 2022 cost:
- € 33,50 if you travel from Amsterdam RAI
- € 29,50 if you travel from Schiphol
- € 29,50 from Leiden
- € 29,50 from Haarlem, Heemstede, Hillegom
- € 29,50 from Katwijk, Noordwijk or Noordwijkerhout
- € 15,50 tickets for children (4-17).
In 2022 you need to book tickets to Keukenhof with a time-slot in advance.
Keukenhof 2022 and timeslots
While booking an entrance ticket to Keukenhof you choose the time when you want to enter the park.
While booking a combi-ticket, the time you choose during the booking process is based on the departure of the bus. All buses departing 30 minutes before and 60 minutes after the chosen timeslot can be taken. For the buses back there are no timeslots. You can take any bus you want.

What types of tickets are valid in the Keukenhof Express?

So if you already bought your Keukenhof entrance tickets, you can buy one of the travel tickets mentioned above.
Day tickets for all Keukenhof Express buses cost €11,50 (except Bus 852: €16) for adults and €7,50 for children aged 4 – 11.

To book your bus only tickets choose Day Ticket Bus option during the booking process.
The Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket is a good option if you are planning to visit other places (Zaanse Schans, Volendam, Haarlem, Zandvoort, etc.) and use public transport in Amsterdam (see what’s included in this ticket).
The advantage of the Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket is that you can take any Keukenhof Express bus, it’s doesn’t have a fixed departure time and gives you more flexibility.

Is Keukenhof open on King’s Day (27 April)?
Yes, it is. It is also open during Easter weekend and Liberation Day (5 May 2022).
How can I rent a wheelchair at Keukenhof?
Manual wheelchairs are available for rent for €5 at the Keukenhof gardens.
Use of electric wheelchairs is allowed, but they are not available for rent at Keukenhof.
Please note: you have to give a €20 cash deposit when you rent a manual wheelchair. It will be refunded when you return the wheelchair.

Free wi-fi is available around the pavilions at the park.
Are bikes allowed at the park?
No, Keukenhof is a pedestian park. But you can rent a bike at the Keukenhof parking and explore the tulip fields and bulb farms in the neighbourhood by bike.
Are dogs allowed at the park?
You can take your dog to the Keukenhof gardens, providing that he is kept on a leash. Dogs are not allowed at the pavilions and restaurants, except for guide dogs.
Is there a train station near Keukenhof?
No. But it’s easily accessible during the opening season by Keukenhof Express buses.
