Amsterdam Light Festival 2020/2021: Celebrate the Light!
|Amsterdam Light Festival is a winter outdoor festival of modern art, light and water. Dozens of historical buildings in the center of Amsterdam will be glittering with colour in the dark, letting the visitors feel the Christmas spirit.
UPDATE: There will be no walking route, no boat tour and no festival in 2020. However, you can still see the city lluminated with light art. Find out more >>

The artworks are located alongside two different exhibition routes: Water Colors, the boat route and Illuminade, the walking route. Each route has an own theme and exposition of artworks.
What: A spectacular outdoor exhibition of light art in the shape of sculptures, projections and installations created by international modern artists.
When: from 10 December 2020 to 3 January 2021.
Where: in Amsterdam, through the Plantage and Weesper neighbourhoods.

What to do:
- Take the Light Walk, the Amsterdam Light Festival 2 km walking route that runs through the Plantage and Weesperbuurt. The Light Walk will take place in the open air and will be 100% corona-proof. You’ll be required to pre-book a date and time slot online, as well as keep a distance of 1,5 meters during the entire walk.
In 2020 there will be no Water Colours canal cruises during the Amsterdam Light Festival.
