How to travel to Efteling by public transport from Amsterdam

From Amsterdam or Schiphol airport, you can take a train to Tilburg or ’s-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). From there take s bus line 300, 301, 136 or 800. These buses stop at the Efteling bus stop, which is located right next to the main entrance.

The total travel time is typically between 1 hour and 30 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes, depending on connections.

Tickets: you can pay for the ride using an OV-chipkaart, OV-pay, or buy a ticket. Please note that public transport tickets do not include entry to the park.

Direct transfer bus to Efteling from Amsterdam

In 2026, there is also a direct bus option from Amsterdam operated by Hop On Hop Off Holland. It is a convenient option because it requires no transfers and everything is arranged in advance.

How to travel from Amsterdam to Efteling by car

Driving from Amsterdam to Efteling is the fastest option and offers the most flexibility. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Parking at Efteling costs €15 per day. You can pay for parking on the official website.

How to travel to Efteling hotels?

If you are staying overnight at one of the Efteling accommodations, the route is slightly different.

For Efteling Wonder Hotel, get off at bus stop Horst. From there, walk in the direction of the hotel, turn left at the petrol station before the crossroads, then turn right at the end of the road and continue through the tunnel. The hotel will be on your right. Only bus lines 300 and 301 stop at this bus stop.

For Efteling Bosrijk, get off at the Efteling bus stop and walk towards the right-hand side of the main entrance. Follow the signs to the accommodation, which is about a 14 minute walk. You can book a free shuttle service from the bus stop to your hotel.

For Efteling Loonsche Land, you also have to get off at the Efteling bus stop and follow the same direction, but the walk takes around 20 minutes. You can book a free shuttle service from the bus stop to your hotel. Note: reserving at least three days in advance is required.
