💡 Good to know: there are two canal cruise options near the Anne Frank House: the Amsterdam Luxury Boat Tour with Open Boat, which departs right from near the museum, and the Lovers Canal Cruise, which departs from Central Station. Either is an easy add-on if you want to combine your museum visit with a cruise on the same day.
How the Tuesday release works
Every Tuesday at 10:00 AM Amsterdam time, the Anne Frank House opens booking for one specific week – the one that starts six weeks later. That single release covers Monday through Sunday of that week only, not the whole season. If your travel date falls outside that week, you’ll have to come back on a different Tuesday.
Tip! Set an alarm on your phone for the release time, and double-check you’ve got the time zone right — it’s Amsterdam time, which may not be your home time zone.
Anne Frank House official ticket prices in 2026
- Adults: € 16,50
- Children aged 10-17: € 7,00
- Children under 10: € 1,00
- Dutch Museum Card holders: € 1,00 (please note: timeslot reservation is still required).
The I amsterdam City Card is not valid at the Anne Frank House.

Types of tickets
Anne Frank House has two ticket options:
- Regular museum visit: entry to the museum + a free audio guide in 9 languages (Dutch, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish). The visit takes around 60 to 75 minutes.
- Introductory program + regular visit: the same museum tour and audio guide, with a 30-minute video introduction about Anne Frank before you enter the museum.
Both ticket types require a specific time slot, with a 15-minute entry window. Be on time: late arrivals are not admitted.
Official Anne Frank House opening hours in 2026
The museum is open daily from 9:00 to 22:00, with last entry at 21:00. It’s open almost every day of the year, with occasional closures around Jewish holidays — it most recently closed for Yom Kippur in September 2026 — plus adjusted hours on some other dates, including King’s Day, Remembrance Day, and New Year’s Eve. Always check the official calendar on annefrank.org before booking near any of these dates.

Not sure which Amsterdam canal cruise to pick?
Can you just turn up at the Anne Frank House?
No. There’s no walk-in admission at all, regardless of how quiet the museum looks or what time of day you arrive. Every single visitor, including children and discount card holders, needs a pre-booked timed ticket bought online in advance.
Can I get Anne Frank tickets on the day?
No. Tickets aren’t sold same-day under any circumstances, they’re only released in the weekly Tuesday batch, six weeks ahead of the visit date. If you’re in Amsterdam today hoping to visit the same day, the museum’s ticketing system won’t allow it.
Are there last-minute Anne Frank House tickets?
Realistically, no, not through any official channel. Once a date’s tickets are gone, they’re gone, there’s no waiting list. Your only genuine shot is checking back around 10:30 AM on the original release Tuesday, in case unpaid carts get released back into availability.
Be aware of websites offering last-minute or skip-the-line Anne Frank House tickets outside annefrank.org.
Where can I buy Anne Frank House tickets?
Only at the official museum website annefrank.org. There are no authorised resellers, not on Tiqets, GetYourGuide, Viator, or anywhere else. If a site other than annefrank.org claims to sell tickets, treat it as unofficial.

Can I cancel or change my Anne Frank House ticket?
No, unfortunately Anne Frank House tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, and only valid for the exact date and time slot booked. Double-check your details before paying.
Is the Anne Frank House ever closed?
Yes. The museum closes on select dates for Jewish holidays — it most recently closed for Yom Kippur in September 2026 — and has shortened hours on a few other dates each year, including King’s Day, Remembrance Day, and New Year’s Eve. Always check the official calendar on annefrank.org before booking near any of these dates.
What are the Anne Frank House opening hours in 2026?
The museum is open daily from 9:00 to 22:00, with last entry at 21:00, aside from occasional closures around Jewish holidays (most recently in September 2026) and the adjusted-hours dates mentioned above. Since entry is by timed slot rather than a walk-in queue, the opening hours mostly matter for choosing which slot to book, not for planning a walk-up visit.
When do Anne Frank House tickets go on sale?
Tickets go on sale every Tuesday at 10:00 AM Amsterdam time, for the specific week that falls six weeks later. There’s no fixed calendar date, the release date always depends on which week you want to visit. Use our Holland Explorer calculator at the top of this page to find your exact release date and time.
What can I do if my date is completely sold out?
Consider a few nearby alternatives that cover related history: the Dutch Resistance Museum, the National Holocaust Museum, or the Ten Boom Museum in Haarlem, all offering a genuinely different angle on the same period.
