Amsterdam Marathon start and finish
This year, the Marathon Expo will move from Sporthallen Zuid to RAI Amsterdam. You can also pick up your bib number at the Marathon Expo in the RAI Amsterdam.
- The start of the full marathon is split between the Olympic Stadium and Stadionweg (Area B). The start of the half marathon and the 8K are on Stadionweg.
- The finish is in the Olympic Stadium.
Public transport in Amsterdam will also be affected by road closures on race weekend. Check GVB’s travel advice for the marathon for service changes and alternative routes.
Getting to the Marathon Expo
On Thursday 15, Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October, you can pick up your bib number at the Marathon Expo in RAI Amsterdam. This location is easy to reach by public transport:
- Europaplein: metro line 52, bus line 62, or tram line 4
- RAI station: various trains, metro lines 50 and 51, bus line 62, or tram line 4
- Zuid station (20-minute walk): various trains, metro lines 50, 51 and 52, trams 5 and 25, and various buses
In the week before the event, participants will receive an e-mail with information about the starting location and start time.
Race weekend schedule
The Marathon Expo and bib pickup run for four days at RAI Amsterdam, and the race weekend itself is split over Saturday and Sunday. Here are the key times to plan around:
