Arriving to Texel island by car? From 1 January 2017 parking in all villages and at all entrances to the beach on Texel is paid. Paid parking applies from Monday through Sunday from 08:00 till 20:00 (including public holidays).

Payment options include the Texel e-vignette, paying per hour at the ticket machine or via a mobile parking payment app.

The Texel e-vignette

The Texel e-vignette is the most economical option for paying parking costs on Texel. The price in 2022 is:

  • €10 per day
  • €20 per week
  • €30 per year.

The card for one week is valid for 8 days. The Texel annual e-vignette is valid for 365 days.

How does the Texel e-vignette work?

You can order the Texel e-vignette online or buy it from a parking ticket machine. During the purchase process you will be required to enter your license plate number.

You do not receive a sticker. The Texel parking officers can scan the number plates of your car and see that you have bought a Texel e-vignette.

Parking per hour

The hourly parking rate on Texel in 2022 is € 2,50. You can pay it at the parking machine with your bank card. Paying with cash or coins is not possible.

Important! At some locations in the village centres on Texel a two-hour maximum parking time applies. Here you have to use the blue parking disc to indicate your arrival time.
