I amsterdam digital pass: how to use it?
If you travel to the Netherlands, you’ve probably already heard about I amsterdam City Card. The pass gives a free access to 70+ museums, top attractions and free public transport in Amsterdam.
Starting from May 2022 you can also use I amsterdam City Card as a digital pass on your phone. It works the same as a physical pass, but saves time on visiting I amsterdam office to pick up your pass.

How to activate your digital I amsterdam City Card?
Your I amsterdam City Card is activated at first use – the first time you enter a museum, attraction or use public transport. The digital City Card pass on your phone works exactly the same way.
After activation your pass is valid for 24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours, depending on the card you have chosen.

To visit City Card locations, book your time slots online and show your digital pass when visiting.

Place the phone with the QR code open under the scanner when you enter public transport in Amsterdam. Don’t forget to check out in the same way on your exit.
Can I buy digital I amsterdam City card for my family members?
Through the app, you can transfer cards to your family members or friends. Please note: you can only transfer a card once.

Hi! Yes, it’s possible, you just place the phone with the QR code from the app under the scanner when you enter tram/bus/metro. You can also check-out the same way.
