  1. Hi Anastasia, thank you for such a detailed guide! I’m planning my visit to Keukenhof from Leiden for late April. Since I’m travelling from South America, I’m trying to figure out the best way to manage my holiday budget and local payments. While researching reliable local platforms for Argentina, I came across this expert review at guiadejugabetargentina.com which mentions specific payment methods like Mercado Pago and bank transfers for 2026. Do you know if the Arriva or Qbuzz ticket machines at Leiden Centraal accept similar international digital wallets, or should I strictly stick to a physical Visa/Mastercard for the bus 854 tickets?

    • Hi Derrick,

Thank you for your question! I don’t have personal experience with payment methods like Mercado Pago, but I’ve checked the OV pay website, and it looks like ticket machines won’t accept them. They accept physical bank cards and digital wallets Apple Pay and Google Wallet.

But you can also download OV pay app and try to connect it with your digital wallet to see if it works. Have a nice trip!
